Holly joined our office in December of 2011. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in education. She's the financial analyst for the practice with a focus on patient correspondence and marketing. Mrs. Heck is also our Billing and Insurance Specialist.
She is currently the Executive Secretary for the Berkshire District Dental Society Continuing Education program and a member of the American Association of Dental Office Management. She resides in Lenox with her husband, Michael, and their son Grayson.
Margaretmary is a Certified Dental Assistant, specializing in periodontal assisting. She is an active member of the Dental Assisting National Board.
She has extensive knowledge of periodontal procedures, including guided implant cases. She works with each team member to increase her knowledge in the specialized dental field of periodontology with a primary focus on patient care.
Margaretmary leads our clinical team with regular in-office training. She also focuses on infection control and prevention. All of our staff members are trained in accordance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CDC standards. Our entire team regularly hosts and attends continuing education courses as well as periodontal meetings. She lives in Dalton with her husband, David, and their dog Dakota. They have three grown children.
Mary earned her associate degree in dental hygiene from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York. After working in general dentistry, she joined the periodontal practice of Stuart H. Sandrew in 1984. She has been working with Dr. Schmidt since he opened his practice in 2011.
Mary is CPR/AED certified and is licensed to administer local anesthesia.
Lauren has been working in the dental field since 2017 after graduating from Porter and Chester Institute with her Certificate in Dental Assisting.
Beginning her career working in pediatric and general dentistry, Lauren joined the periodontal field with us in fall of 2018 as a surgical assistant and works exclusively in treatment planning with Dr. Schmidt. She lives in the Berkshires with her sweet dog, Callie.
Jessie joined our office in 2019 and is pursuing her dental license. She has completed x-ray certification and sees every surgical patient upon completion of post-operative healing while at the same time planning treatments and scheduling next surgical appointments. She works closely with both doctors and treatment coordinators to provide our patients with a smooth transition in care.
She owns and operates a family farm with her husband and three children in Cheshire, Massachusetts.
Heather has specialized in periodontal maintenance since 2006 and joined Dr. Schmidt in 2011. She earned her associate degree in dental hygiene from Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, New York. She is CPR certified and received her Permit L license for administering local anesthesia in 2016 from Quinsigamond Community College.
Heather resides in Cheshire with her husband, Corey, their daughter, Brynna, and their dog, Winnie.
Liz has been working in the dental field since 2016 after earning her Certificate in Dental Assisting through the post-secondary program at McCann Technical School. Beginning her career in general dentistry, Liz joined the periodontal field in 2022 as one of our surgical assistants working directly with Dr. Schmidt. Liz enjoys traveling, obstacle races, and hiking. She lives with her husband in Adams along with their cats and dog.
Theresa joined our practice this year as our front desk receptionist. She's the first person you see when you enter our office. She's been in the dental field for over fifteen years and brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and kindness to our patients.
Maria joined us in 2023 as a trained dental assistant. She's learning aspects of the periodontal specialties, including treatment planning and patient care.

She grew up in Western New York and lived in Pennsylvania near the Allegheny National Forest for over ten years before moving to the Berkshires in 2023. Jenna is such a wonderful addition to our practice.
